A thoughtful blend comprising Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, and Pinot Meunier. Attractive, luminous pink colour, with a delicate, lively bead. Bursting with red fruits on the nose, with wild violet and liquorice notes to follow. Ripe yetracy with sweet forest fruits and beautiful length. Fine and full on the palate, with a touch of mint on the elegant finish. This well-structured cuvée has a strong character underpinned by a delicious fruity character.
PRODUCER PROFILE
Located in Châlons-en-Champagne, Champagne Joseph Perrier was founded in 1825 and has been owned by the same family since 1888. Current director, Benjamin Fourmon, represents the sixth generation. Joseph Perrierowns 23 hectares of vineyards on the right bank of the River Marne, around Hautvillers and Cumières. The impressive cellars stretch over three kilometres into the chalk and date back to the Gallo-Roman period. All the champagnes are made with a keen focus on freshness and purity.
VINEYARD & VINIFICATION
This champagne is crafted from any of 15 different harvests sourced from prestigious vineyards across Verneuil, Cumières, Damery, Sacy, Les Riceys, Avize, Chouilly, and Bassuet. It undergoes an aging process of 36 months in its cellars, allowing it to develop complexity and depth. The blend includes about 10% red wines and 20% reserve wines, contributing to its richness and character. The dosage is set at 7 g/L, adding a refined touch of sweetness to balance the champagne’s vibrant acidity.
