TASTING NOTES
This wine displays an intense violet hue and opens with inviting aromas of ripe red fruits, particularly plums. On the palate, it reveals an elegant, well-balanced structure, enriched by subtle notes of vanilla and smoke from its time in oak. The tannins are silky and refined, adding to its harmonious profile.
PRODUCER PROFILE
The Vinecol estate is a family winery situated in La Paz. Vinecol has 80 hectares of vineyards and was one of the first wineries in Mendoza to receive organic certification. The climate is high desert, warm summer days with cool nights, low humidity and well- drained soils. The altitude of the vineyards is 1100 metres above sea-level and is ideal for the maturation of their hand-picked organic grapes. Since their debut in 1998, Vinecol has focused on producing fruit driven wines with great drinkability.
VINEYARD & VINIFICATION
Mendoza’s high-altitude terrain offers exceptional conditions for viticulture, with warm days, cool nights, low humidity, and well-drained sandy soils that promote balanced ripening. Grapes are carefully hand-harvested and fermented as whole berries with native yeasts in stainless steel tanks, a process that maintains the wine’sfreshness and varietal expression. The wine is then aged for six months, adding subtle complexity while retaining its vibrant character.
