PRODUCER PROFILE
The Moncuit family has been making superb champagne in Le Mesnil-sur-Oger, in the heart of the Côte des Blancs, for more than 100 years. Back then, Pierre Moncuit recognised the intrinsic quality of his terroir and, together with his wife Odile, strove to make the best possible champagnes from his grapes. Nicole Moncuit and her brother Yves, along with her daughter Valérie, are now in charge of the domaine and make sublimely complex, delicate wines from 20 hectares of Grand Cru vineyards.
VINEYARD & VINIFICATION
This wine is crafted from grapes grown in Moncuit’s prestigious Mesnil Grand Cru vineyards in the chalk based soils in La Cote-des-Blancs. After the first fermentation, the wine undergoes a meticulous aging process, resting in the cellar for three years to develop depth and complexity. A dosage of 7 grams is added to achieve the perfect balance, enhancing the wine’s elegance and refining its expression.
