PRODUCER PROFILE
Domaine Pinchinat has been producing organic wines since 1990, long before it was a trendy word in the region. The property has belonged to the same family for over two centuries and is now expertly managed by Alain de Welle. Situated at the foot of the famous Montagne Sainte-Victoire 25 km east of Aix en Provence, amongstfields of lavender, the winery has 30 hectares of vineyards at 280 metres above sea level. The soils here are composed of clay and limestone, making it a haven for vine growing.
VINEYARD & VINIFICATION
They are deeply committed to maintaining the delicate natural balances of our environment and actively contribute to preserving soil fertility, water, and air quality, ensuring that future generations inherit an untouched legacy. Since 1990, the entire vineyard has been cultivated using organic farming practices: chemical weedcontrol is entirely avoided, the soil is enriched with organic compost, and we use the most natural treatments (such as sulphur and copper). The vinification and aging of our wines follow the same principles of respect for the product and its quality. Apart from the small amount of sulphur we add, we refrain from using any chemicals, which benefits the health of the consumer.
