TASTING NOTES

This wine shows an intense red color. On the nose, it offers delicate aromas of soft fruits, flowers, and spices. The palate is fresh and mineral, with a pleasing astringency, a full-bodied mouthfeel, and a long, persistent finish. It pairs perfectly with rich grilled meats, cured meats, seasoned cheeses, legume soups, and lasagna.

PRODUCER PROFILE

Torri Cantine was originally a cooperative started in 1966. Since then, the property has become a small private estate with around 60 hectares of mature vines. Converted fully to organic wine production, they have sites dotted through the foothills below the impressive Gran Sasso mountain, lying between 100 to 300m above sea level. It is rare to find wines that are such a joy to drink.

VINEYARD & VINIFICATION

Vineyards training method is tent. Harvest is carried out by hand. Fermentation with selected yeasts, 10-15 days of which 8-10 with skins. Aging 3 months minimum concrete tank and 2-6 months stainless steel.
