TASTING NOTES  

Pale ruby red color with a slight garnet hue. Aroma reminiscent of berries, blackberry, plum jam with notes of liquorice. In the mouth the wine is delicate, fruity and typically acidulous. Its light tannin gives it a full and pleasantly long taste.

PRODUCER PROFILE

Settimo is the fifth generation to run the estate, but he definitely thinks for himself and breaks moulds! A man full of charisma and innovative wisdom, he was one of the first in Italy to have started practicing organic viticulture (1991). His wife Sabrina and grown-up son and daughter help run a business that bottles 9 million units a year and is proving that organic can be achieved to scale in a humid environment. A great investor in people, the family are surrounded by long term employees despite huge change. This estate defines sustainability on many levels.

VINEYARD & VINIFICATION

Alcoholic fermentation lasts about 5-6 days; in the meantime, pumping over and punching down operations are carried out to favour the extraction of the tannins that characterise this wine.
